Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanjing
The city of Nanjing is renowned for cultivating some of the best traditional
Chinese medicine (TCM) Practitioners in China. Being the birthplace
of the earliest academics of TCM, it provides a crucial base for breaking
down and transforming the traditional pattern of "master-to-disciple"
TCM education to the current class lectures and teaching.

of TCM or otherwise known as Nanjing University of TCM (Number 3
Hospital) is a part of a consortium of hospitals with complete medical,
teaching and research facilities. Established in 1956, the
hospital specialises in 5 main areas, one of which is traditional
Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
The hospital has since gained great recognition for being one of
China's high standard hospitals. It currently employs many
well known doctors, specialists and consultants of both traditional
Chinese and Western medicine. To date, the the Nanjing City
Hospital of TCM ranks within the top 6 high standard hospitals in
the Jiang Su Province. |
